EMC Outdoor is excited to announce the addition of Marianne Schulmeister as Vice President of Client Partnerships. Marianne brings a unique blend of creativity and strategy to her role, with years of experience across multiple media channels.
Marianne’s career in media began at 92.5 XTU in Philadelphia, where she worked as an Account Executive. She got her start after her sister, who was interning at CBS Radio, mentioned the opportunity. Soon after applying, Marianne began her career at the city’s leading country station, developing her skills and passion for the industry.
As Marianne’s career evolved, she ventured into broadcast radio, digital marketing, and event sponsorships. A pivotal moment came when she moved to San Diego, where she added event sponsorships to her client offerings. This experience ignited her passion for Out of Home advertising. She quickly became fascinated by the ability to engage audiences directly and creatively through outdoor spaces.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Marianne Schulmeister to our team! Marianne’s Out of Home experience across many industries brings a fresh view on the value of client/agency partnerships and a new perspective to the day-to-day. We are thrilled to have her onboard as we close the year strong and head into an exciting 2025!”

Q&A with Marianne Schulmeister
How did you begin your career in media?
After graduating college with my degree in advertising and business, I was looking for a job within the field but wasn’t having much luck breaking in. My little sister coincidentally had just started as an intern in the promotions department at CBS Radio and mentioned they were hiring Account Executives at 92.5 XTU. I applied that day and started a few weeks later as an Account Executive at Philadelphia’s exclusive country station!
What attracted you to Out of Home?
After many years in broadcast radio and digital marketing, my first job in San Diego allowed me to add event sponsorships to my solutions for clients. Seeing the magic that clients and brands could create in just a few hours opened my eyes to the endless possibilities within Out of Home advertising. The creativity and innovation in the outdoor space, mixed with the ability to directly interact with the audience in a tangible way, is so exciting to me!
What is a favorite campaign you’ve worked on?
Just one?! That’s hard.. but a recent one that comes to mind is a campaign I did with Tom Thumb/Albertsons in the Dallas Market. As the Official Grocer of the Dallas Cowboys, Albertsons looked into media options to reinforce their in-stadium messaging while expanding their sponsorship footprint outside AT&T Stadium.
By wrapping branded rideshare vehicles in the Dallas Market, Albertsons gained market exposure throughout the entire season while engaging with the game day audience prior to kickoff by sending those vehicles to each home game. The client saw an uptick in foot traffic to multiple locations throughout the market and an increase in sales that correlated with the brand’s messaging.
What are you looking forward to at EMC as VP of client Partnerships?
I could not be more thrilled to learn from the amazing team here at EMC and to continue exploring the many options within the Out of Home world. I’ve always found the ever-changing landscape of advertising extremely interesting but to have the opportunity to work with Out of Home experts who use their historic knowledge to create new and innovative solutions for clients takes it to a whole new level. I am so eager to chat with existing and new relationships to implement some truly remarkable campaigns backed by strategic planning and market insights.
What do you think is essential for building strong client partnerships?
I think trust and communication are extremely important. I want my clients to trust that the strategies and plans I bring to them are customized to help their business grow and give them the visibility they need in front of their audience. I want to be considered as a resource, an extension of their team, and someone who is truly rooting for them in every way possible. The ability to listen and understand, paired with the willingness to communicate with honesty and transparency, keeps everyone on the same page throughout the process and is very important when building the foundation of a partnership.
“Marianne‘s media experience from coast to coast, along with her drive for success and infectious personality, creates a winning trifecta—one we are so thrilled to add to our team! I worked with Marianne in her early days of radio sales in Philadelphia, and I’ve been so impressed with her tenacity and courage since then. Moving across the country and starting over successfully, and then transitioning from radio to Out of Home seamlessly, has been so inspiring to watch. I couldn’t be happier, on both a professional and personal level, that she has joined our team.”
