Q&A With Lauren:

How did you begin your career in media?

If we’re talking about the real beginning, it all started in radio. I interned at Y100 in Conshohocken (yep, part of the street team, baby!) After graduating from the University of Delaware, I packed my bags and headed north to join Boston’s legendary WBCN in sales. It was my first deep dive into the media world, and it definitely set the stage for everything that followed.

What attracted you to Out of Home?

I’ve always been drawn to the creativity OOH allows, and the way it continues to evolve. Despite being a centuries-old medium, it’s still one of the most effective because it keeps innovating. There’s something powerful about a medium that’s both timeless and always pushing the boundaries.

What is a favorite campaign you’ve worked on in the past?

One campaign that stands out was with Burlington Coat Factory. They wanted a hyper-targeted approach to promote a new store opening, so we came up with the idea to use fleets of wrapped rideshare cars. We strategically sent them to strip malls near competitors and key target areas, creating high-impact visibility exactly where it mattered most. It was a fun and creative way to reach the right audience at the right time.

What are you looking forward to?

Communication is at the core of successful partnerships, and I take great pleasure in building winning relationships with clients, learning about them, their goals, their pain points, and finding innovative ways to deliver value to whatever they are doing. This allows me to build trust, influence decisions, and drive successful outcomes throughout the clients marketing lifecycle.

With EMC I will be able to offer clients a full range of OOH solutions to enhance both their conference and B2C marketing efforts. OOH offers such a diverse palette of media, I’m really looking forward to have such a wide range of tools at my fingertips.

What do you think is essential for building solid client relationships that can help grow their business?

Building solid client relationships starts with trust, understanding, and a commitment to their long-term success. With my expertise and background in event marketing, I understand how important it is to cut through the noise and clutter of the market to create impactful, tailored strategies that resonate. I take the time to truly listen to clients, grasp their unique challenges and goals, and craft solutions that align with their vision. My priority is always to guide clients in the right direction—not just to close a sale, but to ensure their success. With this approach, I help build lasting, meaningful relationships that drive real, sustainable business growth.

Deana Poole, EMC SVP, Sales shared that  “Lauren’s passion for and extensive experience with trade show marketing, coupled with her OOH experience made her a great candidate for our team. But, when I met Lauren and experienced her electric personality and forward-thinking mentality, I knew she would be an incredible addition to EMC and someone who would seamlessly fit into our ‘Win Together’ culture. We are lucky to have her, and I know she will make a palpable impact on our business very quickly.”
